General Features

HENCO STANDARD PE-Xc/AL/PE-Xc insulated multilayer pipe in rolls, consisting of a longitudinally butt-welded aluminium pipe , equipped with an internal and external layer of polyethylene cross-linked by electronic irradiation (type c cross-linking).

The pipe complies with the following standards: EN 21003 ; DIN 4726 ; DIN 16892 ; the pipe is certified by DVGW, KIWA, IIP.

The inner and outer tubes are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) granulate; the cross-linking is type C (electron irradiation); no additives are used; the tube is resistant to corrosion, abrasion, and chemicals.

The aluminum tube guarantees total impermeability to oxygen [DIN 4726 ]; the thickness of the aluminum is uniform thanks to the longitudinal butt welding process.

All layers are durably bonded together by means of an adhesive layer compliant with the DVGW technical standard W542 and having tensile strength characteristics >= 30 N/10 mm.

The legislation EN21003 establishes the application class of the pipe (i.e. the operating temperatures and their duration over time); use in compliance with this regulation and this application class guarantees a useful life of the pipe 50 years.

The pipe is compatible with all HENCO fittings (PVDF press-fit, brass press-fit, brass screw-fit, PVDF quick-fit) of the same diameter.

Circular thermal insulation made of expanded PE foam with a closed-cell structure to protect against heat loss/transmission, condensation, expansion, and noise transmission. The PE foam also features a durable red or blue PE outer membrane with a vapor-resistant mesh structure.

The advantages of the Henco pipe

Resistant to temperature and pressure
The operating temperature can reach 95 °C and the maximum permissible operating pressure is 10 bar.

Corrosion resistant
The smooth surface of the inner and outer tube prevents dirt from accumulating, preventing sedimentation and corrosion. The reduced roughness of the inner tube also ensures a minimal pressure loss .

Wear resistant
The outer and inner tube are made of polyethylene cross-linked by electron beams. The tube is therefore not subject to wear, even in the presence of high temperatures and flow velocities.

Minimum weight: quick and easy assembly
Quick and easy installation saves time and money. HENCO pipe is flexible and extremely lightweight. A 200 m roll of HENCO STANDARD 16 x 2 weighs just 25 kg.

Absence of noise pollution
Unlike metal pipes, choosing the right pipe diameter eliminates any noise pollution caused by the passage of water. Contact noise can be avoided by installing the pipe correctly.

Minimum linear expansion
Thanks to the aluminum layer, the expansion coefficient of the HENCO pipe is comparable to that of a copper pipe and eight times lower than that of a common plastic pipe. The expansion coefficient is 0.025 mm / mK.

Shape stability
After being bent, the tube maintains the desired shape, because it has no thermal memory Like other plastic pipes, this feature simplifies and speeds up pipe installation and fitting assembly.

Absolutely impermeable to oxygen and condensation diffusion
The integrated aluminum layer prevents oxygen from penetrating the pipe, avoiding corrosion problems for any metal components in the system.

Long lasting
If the pipe is used in compliance with the prescribed operating pressure and temperature, a minimum lifespan of 50 years is guaranteed.
