General Features

A noble, safe, high-performance, tested, hygienic, bacteriostatic soul, a Copper soul.

Strato represents the evolution of pipes for the transport of drinking water and for radiator heating.

A product that combines the lightness and ease of installation of traditional multilayer with the unique performance of copper tubing in terms of resistance to pressure and high temperatures, hygiene and bacteriostatic properties, low pressure drops and reduced internal roughness.

Coating features

Joining Technology
Strato is compatible with all fittings produced according to the EN 1254-8 standard normally used with multilayer pipes.
Strato's unique feature is that it offers an "open" solution, meaning it's not tied to any specific fitting. Various combinations are available, compatible with the most popular fitting brands on the market, including full-bore ones. This solution allows for the use of smaller pipe cross-sections, saving both pipe costs and building work. Various types of mechanical fittings (press-fit, quick-fit, and screw-on) can be used.

Installation
Cut to Size Cutting, calibrating and deburring can be performed with commonly available accessories.
Folding Strato tube can be easily bent by hand or with a standard copper tube bender.
Junction Different types of mechanical fittings (press-fit, quick-fit, compression) available on the market can be used.

Advantages

  • Resistance to pressure and high temperatures: Strato is not afraid of sudden increases in pressure, since its metallic nature gives it very high mechanical resistance.
  • Hygiene and bacteriostatic: It is completely hygienic and combats bacterial growth. It complies with Ministerial Decree 174/04: drinking water only comes into contact with the copper surface, ensuring the absence of odors and flavors.
  • No welding: The copper tube contained inside is obtained through a continuous drawing process, unlike traditional multilayers which involve the longitudinal union of the aluminium layer through different technologies.
  • Completely waterproof and 100% oxygen barrier: Its metal core makes it impermeable to gases: there is no risk of leaks and/or contamination from the inside to the outside and vice versa. In heating systems, it prevents the presence of oxygen that can attack boilers, pump impellers, or other metal parts.
  • Flexibility and workability: Strato can be bent by hand even with small bending radii and does not undergo any memory effect, maintaining the acquired shape.
  • Low linear thermal expansion coefficient: Unlike plastic pipes, thermal expansion is extremely limited, thus ensuring dimensional stability even when the temperature of the transported fluid varies.
  • Low pressure drops: Strato has an extremely low internal roughness (1.5μm compared to 7μm for traditional multilayer pipes). This means lower pressure drops and a lower tendency to suffer from limescale build-up.
