General Features

OMNIA S3.2

New range of Full Inverter split heat pumps with low environmental impact R32 gas.

The range includes an External Unit with the heart of the refrigeration circuit, from the compressor to the fan with the air-side exchanger, which will be connected to the refrigerant gas pipes to the Internal Unit.

The Internal Unit contains the heart of the generator's hydraulic circuit with all the main components pre-installed, such as the high-efficiency circulator and the expansion vessel, to allow for safe, practical and quick installation.

It is equipped as standard with an electrical integration of 3kW for single-phase models and 6kW for three-phase models.

The split installation will also bring the undeniable advantage of avoiding any freezing problems, even at the coldest temperatures (up to -25°C) and in the absence of electricity (the only real problem with the antifreeze electric resistors of external monobloc units).

All units meet the most extreme winter and summer air conditioning needs. They can produce hot water up to 65°C, making them suitable for practically all heating systems, whether radiant, fan coil, or radiator, including the production of domestic hot water (DHW) via an external boiler.
Ferroli's new Full Inverter concept uses DC inverter modulation on the machine's three main energy-intensive components: the compressor, fan, and pump. This allows for power output to be precisely adjusted to match the thermal load, allowing the user to achieve extremely high efficiency and significant energy savings.
Furthermore, Ferroli's Full Inverter concept reduces inrush currents, preventing power surges and ensuring longer component life. Its noise levels are among the lowest on the market, and it can be used as the system's sole generator or integrated with other sources, such as a boiler.
All units are supplied with a temperature probe for a DHW boiler (not supplied, to be fitted by the installer) and with an external air temperature probe (pre-mounted on the External Unit), for climate control, both in heating and cooling.

THE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL UNITS OF OMNIA S 3.2

The External Unit contains the heart of the refrigeration circuit, while the Internal Unit contains the heart of the hydraulic circuit.
They are connected to each other by pipes made of eco-friendly R32 refrigerant gas, which has allowed us to combine high efficiency with a reduced environmental impact.

Thanks to its GWP of 675, approximately one third of the GWP of R410a, it helps reduce CO2 equivalent emissions, the main cause of global warming.
Heat pumps use the external unit to extract heat from the air outside your home and transfer it to the water in your system, via an exchanger in the internal unit. This is precisely why they achieve such high efficiencies, exploiting the energy already present in the air outside your home in a renewable way.
Ferroli's new Full Inverter concept then does the rest, tracking thermal loads precisely and without waste (modulating the compressor, pump, and fan), achieving even greater efficiencies, guaranteeing significant savings on bills, without stressing the components and with extremely low noise levels.
OMNIA S 3.2 can be used either as the sole generator in the system or integrated with other sources such as a Ferroli boiler.

THE CONTROL SYSTEM

The user interface has been equipped with Capsense technology with a 2.8" graphic display, allowing the user to interact with the product easily and simply. The on-board interface communicates seamlessly with the new intelligent Connect CRP systems, which can manage up to 8 thermostats (7 Connect CRP Zones + 1 Connect CRP that also features all the functions of a chronothermostat) divided into 2 zones, one direct and one mixed. The main management functions include:

MODBUS PROTOCOL for intelligent management via any external BMS.

HEATING AND COOLING with the single generator heat pump.

Full inverter modulation allows you to maintain desired setpoints for both heating and cooling, optimizing consumption for the user. Setting climate curves (standard) can improve comfort and further reduce consumption.

PRODUCTION OF DOMESTIC HOT WATER (DHW)

When the DHW temperature probe (to be mounted on an external boiler, not supplied with the machine) drops below a certain value, the machine enters DHW mode, i.e., heating with a dedicated setpoint. A 3-way diverter valve is supplied as standard.

SMART GRID INPUT FROM PHOTOVOLTAIC AND GRID

The unit is equipped with two digital inputs for managing input from a photovoltaic system and the electricity grid. These are the popular Smart Grid contacts, for optimizing consumption and reducing bill costs.

The primary contact (EVU) will inform the heat pump when the photovoltaic system is producing electricity: the heat pump will raise the DHW set point to improve self-consumption (where the user generates the highest profit). The grid contact (SG) will alert the heat pump when electricity costs are higher (if the utility allows it), and it will limit its output based on customizable settings. For details, please read the manuals.

REMOTE CONTROL VIA APP

Available for iOS and Android using Connect CRP (optional)

ELECTRIC RESISTANCE FOR DHW BOILER

In ACS mode, the unit manages an electric resistance inserted in the boiler as an integration, anti-legionella function or as a reserve source, in the event of an anomaly.

FAST ACS

Function that allows you to prioritize DHW production by activating all available energy sources, to bring the DHW boiler to the set point in the shortest possible time.

ANTI-LEGIONELLA FUNCTION

It allows you to set weekly anti-legionella cycles. For correct operation, an electric heating element must be installed in the DHW boiler or a back-up boiler.

SILENT MODE

When active, it reduces the maximum compressor frequency and fan speed, significantly reducing noise. Two different levels are available, programmable for specific time slots (e.g., at night).

ON/OFF from external contact

The unit can be activated and deactivated via an external contact (e.g. from a zone thermostat): in this case the operating mode will follow the controller settings.

HOT/COLD from external contacts

The unit can receive a summer/winter switching signal from outside (e.g. from the zone thermostat).

ECO

Dedicated setpoint for “Eco” operation. Adjustable with daily time slot.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

The Connect CRP (optional) allows for differentiated time programming for each day of the week, defining the mode (COLD/HOT/DHW) and the operating setpoints for each band.

ANTIFREEZE PROTECTION

Heat pump operation in heating mode with circulator ON and possible electric booster.
