DOSAMAX BLU is the range of proportional polyphosphate dispensers designed to meet the most demanding installation, maintenance, and refilling requirements. All new DOSAMAX BLU proportional dispensers demonstrate our commitment to offering only highly qualified, advanced, and safe products. The particularly ergonomic shape makes opening the container easy, eliminating the risk of bumping other parts of the dispenser with your hands. DOSAMAX dispensers are equipped with convenient ring nut connections for connection to the plumbing system, and a version with a fixed ring nut is also available. All models have a Venturi flange that allows rotation in 90° increments. The container is blue, the color that filters light more than any other, thus inhibiting the growth of bacteria inside it. The STOP version is equipped with a flow diversion valve (BYPASS) which, sliding smoothly on a double O-ring track, allows the interruption of the water flow inside the dispenser to allow the polyphosphates to be refilled in a simple, clean and totally safe way.
On the left is the dispenser with fixed connections, on the right is the one with rotating connections (more convenient for replacement)
Operation
The water used in plumbing systems contains a certain amount of dissolved calcium and magnesium salts, which cause its hardness. When water is heated, this hardness triggers a chemical reaction, producing calcium and magnesium carbonate (limescale) and carbon dioxide. Calcium carbonate precipitates, causing scale buildup on systems and heat exchangers, while carbon dioxide causes corrosion within the system. It is therefore necessary to treat the water by installing anti-limescale and anti-corrosion equipment such as proportional dosers (UNI 8065). Dosing polyphosphate-based products in proportion to the water flow rate (4 ppm) does not alter the water's potability, keeps the elements soluble that would otherwise precipitate and form scale, and protects against corrosion. Installation is extremely simple and can be done upstream of the plumbing system, boilers, or washing machines and dishwashers.
