General Features

KONX SLIM



KONx SLIM is a condensing boiler that runs on natural gas or LPG, with instantaneous domestic hot water production. Clad in a satin-finish AISI 304 stainless steel casing, it's ideal for outdoor installations but equally elegant indoors. KONx SLIM is:


High performance: 24 and 35 kW (Range rated), modulation ratio 1:8, low NOx class 5;

High energy efficiency: A+ (System) top of the category, >98% Hs (higher calorific value);

Insulated and protected: IP X5D, suitable for outdoor installation according to current regulations (up to -15°C with antifreeze kit);

Extremely compact: with its depth of just 18 cm, Unical's record among wall-mounted condensing boilers.

KONx SLIM comes with the following standard equipment:

RCh is the all-purpose OT remote control panel that guarantees complete boiler management and offers maximum home comfort thanks to the room thermostat function with weekly programs and continuous modulating control. RCh is supplied as standard with the KONx SLIM boiler.

Strengths


KONx SLIM, thanks to the RCh chronothermostat, modulating OT multi-program, connected to the room and external probes supplied as standard, achieves seasonal efficiency equal to energy class A+ in heating;

HWS “Hot Water Speed” is the new KONx SLIM electronics that switches from the heating to domestic hot water function with the burner and pump always active, significantly improving the user's comfort as he does not have to wait for hot water;

Covered with a satin-finish AISI 304 stainless steel casing with a tapered-edge casing finish, KONx SLIM has an essential and very elegant line, matching, with its hi-tech style, the other appliances in the home;

Intelligent system charging to ensure functionality: if the pressure in the system circuit is less than 0.4 bar, automatic water charging starts for 30 seconds once a day. If this request occurs repeatedly, a warning signal appears on the remote control. Overheating prevention post-circulation: the boiler automatically keeps the pump running for 5 minutes after the burner is turned off, preserving the components.

Electronic modulating premix burner:

The 2nd generation UMIX PRO System features advanced CO/CO 2 control. The innovative combustion feedback constantly monitors combustion quality and detects exhaust blockages, adapting its parameters to maintain optimal combustion;
The ACG system allows for self-calibration of combustion, facilitating initial start-up operations. This software reduces component aging by optimizing operating parameters and reducing maintenance costs;
The "Flat" burner ensures long life thanks to low thermal/mechanical stress and the physical stability of the FeCrAlloy fiber fabric. The ideal heat propagation by radiation develops a particularly soft and bright flame;
Ultra-flat Al/Si/Mg primary exchanger: made of a special Aluminum/Silicon/Magnesium alloy that ensures efficiency and durability, so much so that Unical guarantees it for a full 5 years. Thanks to the internal heat exchange configuration, efficiencies exceeding 107% in condensing mode are achieved, which translates into significant cost savings and a minimal environmental impact for the user. The 28-35 versions are suitably larger. - Secondary exchanger: particularly efficient because it is suitable for condensing boilers, taking advantage of their low temperatures. Its "eco-friendly" design is distinguished by a new plate design that allows for greater heat transfer, making the most of the characteristics of stainless steel.

Modulating circulator with deaerator: highly efficient, in compliance with the 2015 ErP directive, it automatically adjusts boiler power to the system's needs. Particularly quiet and compact, it integrates with the safety valve, bypass, and drain valve.
