TECHNICAL DATA SHEET
Tangit is a fast-setting adhesive specifically designed for longitudinal joints in rigid PVC materials. It is particularly suitable for assembling pipes and fittings, even under pressure (drinking water, gas), gutters, and rigid PVC cable ducts.
It also bonds ABS and other plastics, although with lower strengths.

Tangit Glue in a Jar with Brush
Tangit is a fast-setting adhesive specifically designed for longitudinal joints in rigid PVC materials. It is particularly suitable for assembling pipes and fittings, even under pressure (drinking water, gas), gutters, and rigid PVC cable ducts.
It also bonds ABS and other plastics, although with lower strengths.
Chemical nature: PVC-U dissolved in a mixture of organic solvents, thickeners
Specific weight: approximately 0.96 g/ml
Viscosity: Brookfield approx. 5000 mPa s (tube) and approx. 15000 mPa s (can)
Open time: The open time depends on the application temperature (see table below) for 1 mm thickness of Tangit.
Temperature 20°C → Open time approx. 4 minutes
Temperature 25°C → Open time approx. 3 minutes
Temperature 30°C → Open time approx. 2 minutes
Temperature 40°C → Open time approx. 1 minute
Temperature >40°C → Open time less than 1 minute
Operating temperature: Coincides with that declared for PVC-U.
Welds made with Tangit are water-resistant. Chemical resistance, especially to inorganic acids, depends on the pipe strength, waiting times, adherence to tolerances, pressure load, operating temperatures, and the type and concentration of acid. The durability of welds made with Tangit is equivalent to that of PVC-U pipes.
