FrostWash 3.0: self-cleaning technology
New heat exchanger self-cleaning technology!
FrostWash 3.0 heats the exchanger up to 56°C before freezing it and then melting the ice.
In this way, unlike the previous version, it captures, heats, freezes and washes away dust, mould, impurities and even oil particles present in the air.
Triple benefit of FrostWash 3.0:
1. Sanitizing effect: up to 99% of viruses eliminated, up to 99% of bacteria eliminated, up to 95% reduction in mold.
2. Anti-odor effect: in addition to removing mold, a source of bad odors, FrostWash 3.0 removes odors that may have accumulated on the surface of the exchanger, such as those from pets or kitchens.
3. Airflow Capacity Preservation: Our tests show that systems with FrostWash maintain up to 3 times more airflow in the unit than units without this technology.
FrostWash 3.0 does not work when the airHome 800 indoor unit is connected to the airHome Multi/Multi Pro outdoor unit. In this case, FrostWash 3.0 is replaced by FrostWash.

Fully automatic, airHome integrates Wi-Fi as standard and is always connected.
The airCloud Go application allows remote control from your smartphone and complete and intelligent management of the air conditioner.
The innovative Smart Geo Fence geolocation function, exclusive to Hitachi, detects the user's presence within a radius of 500 meters outbound and 10 km inbound, automatically adjusting the air conditioning on, off and temperature based on habits and lifestyle, for maximum comfort and maximum energy savings.
SmartEco function
The new airHome 800 is equipped with a presence sensor. By activating the SmartEco function, if the sensor detects that no one is present in the room being air-conditioned, the system adjusts the internal temperature, reducing energy consumption. Furthermore, by activating the AutoOff function, the system shuts down completely after a certain period of time.
SleepSense improves the quality of your sleep
Thanks to the presence sensor, the system automatically adjusts the internal temperature when you fall asleep. SleepSense detects when you're asleep and gradually increases or decreases the temperature depending on the season.
In this way it guarantees ideal comfort while reducing energy consumption.

Stage 1: With DuraSpin, the fan rotates in the standby direction to create a strong airflow and remove dust particles that may accumulate on the coil. Stage 2: With our renowned freezing, melting, and cleaning process, the condenser coil is cleaned of dirt and mold.
4 stages of air filtration and purification
Along with FrostWash 3.0, the airHome 800 combines other air purification and filtration technologies, such as ViroSense Z1 and the innovative AQtiv-Ion ionizer, which uses an electric field ionization process to eliminate viruses, bacteria, odors, allergens, and dust mites.
Finally, the Mold Guard 2.0 function starts the fan when the air conditioner is off, which blows air onto the internal components of the split unit to prevent the formation of mold, which causes bad odors, by constantly monitoring the internal temperature and humidity.
