The particular geometry of the gasket and the coupling seat guarantee hydraulic tightness and accommodate the normal movements of the pipe, including those due to thermal expansion.

The thermal expansion of PP is extremely low compared to most common plastic materials, a 3000 mm pipe expands by only 13 mm when the exhaust flow is at a continuous temperature of 60°C.

It is precisely thanks to their low thermal expansion coefficient that push-fit joints are able to absorb variations in pipe length without the need for special precautions; it is sufficient to follow the installation instructions defined in the technical manuals.
