General Features

  • MINI TWO

Compact proportional mechanical volumetric dosing pump for dosing AcquaSIL 2/15® into disposable bags.

    Purpose

Limescale and corrosion are among the crucial problems affecting plumbing and heating systems. The proportional dosing of anti-scaling and anti-corrosion products in water is a safe and proven technology that guarantees success in preventing limescale and corrosion. Polyphosphates, even at very low concentrations, can counteract the formation of limescale and corrosion in hot and cold water distribution lines. MiniDUE is a mechanical volumetric dosing pump capable of precisely and proportionally dosing AcquaSIL 2/15® (an aqueous solution of polyphosphates), protecting hydraulic circuits and heat exchange equipment from scaling and corrosion while ensuring a dosage consistently lower than 5 mg/l of P2O5.

    Operating principle

MiniDUE requires no electrical power. The precise and proportional dosing under any operating conditions is activated hydraulically by a mechanical system that, exploiting the movement of the water, delivers controlled quantities of AcquaSIL 2/15®. Through a mechanism known as the "threshold effect," polyphosphates, when present in water at concentrations of a few mg/l, interfere with the crystallization of carbonates, preventing the formation of scale. Polyphosphates are also able to form a protective film on metal surfaces, protecting them from potential corrosion.

    What's new in MiniDUE

One of MiniDUE's brand new features is the flexible AcquaSIL 2/15® refill. For the first time, a refill that requires no handling: simply replace the refill when it's empty! It easily adapts to limited spaces (built-in boilers) that would not allow the installation of rigid tanks. The practical connection kit allows the flexible refill to be placed even far from the pump. Two refill sizes are available depending on your needs: 250 g and 1000 g. Compared to MiniDOS, MiniDUE is significantly smaller and its pumping system is simplified.

    Main features

MiniDUE is completely self-priming; simply replace the AcquaSIL 2/15® refill periodically. The pump is protected from backpressure in the water network by a check valve. The check valve allows MiniDUE to be refilled without having to bypass the device or shut off the water supply. The high injection frequency ensures consistent dosing.

MiniDUE doses exclusively the product AcquaSIL 2/15®, a combined solution of food-grade polyphosphates specifically for the treatment of drinking water used to prevent scaling and corrosion for water with temporary hardness between 5 and 35 °f. The stabilizing properties of the product AcquaSIL 2/15® are guaranteed for instantaneous temperatures up to 80 °C and storage temperatures up to 60 °C.

The AcquaSIL 2/15® product not only protects new equipment and hydraulic circuits but can also gradually restore encrusted circuits. MiniDUE is available in two versions: with ½” M connections (code PM004) and with ½” F connections and a template connection (code PM005). A connection kit for offline installation of the PM004 pump is also available (kit code AV017).
